I’ve recently just finished up working with a client which very much emphasised the importance of remembering that our zone of genius is your unique super power.

Dedicated to supporting change both 1:1 and in a group setting whilst holding space for a small cohort of fellow business leaders and acting as a gateway for employers to get a Kickstart grant; my client did not want to also be doing all the back office set up required for such a big project.

Over a period of around 3 months I’ve provided various elements of support to help streamline processes in relation to both these projects and more including:

Setting up Dubsado as her CRM system.
Why? To allow smooth uniformed onboarding processes including contract signing, invoicing, workflows and automations.

Email Inbox Management
Why? Having a system in place can help you conquer even the most unruly inbox using rules, labels and automations. 

Email Marketing Set Up
Why? Mailchimp is one of the most popular email marketing platforms to get started with however once you want to start doing a little more with your email marketing it is quite simply too restricted (and costly!)  Transitioning from Mailchimp to Mailerlite, moving all contacts across, creating newsletter templates for future use and linking a sign up box over on a WordPress website now gives her there opportunity to use a free platform to communicate with those who want to hear more from her and the business. 

SOP Creation
Why?  Even at the very start of our time together (likely before!), my Client very much understood the need for support in her business.  She was under no illusions that she could not grow or scale on her own and so from our very first project I began to create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) so she could comfortably and confidently onboard/hire and outsource tasks to other team members when she saw fit.

There is no getting away from the fact that if my client had to do all of the above herself she would not have been able to dedicate the time she has to everything required within all the project’s she’s had the pleasure of being involved with over the past few months. 

Her business is now set up with core operational elements that can also scale with her.

So remember… stick to your own zone of genius; leave the rest to me!
