Running a business as an entrepreneur with ADHD can be challenging, and sometimes it can be really difficult to maintain the level of confidence needed to succeed.

I’ve often thought I’m doing something ‘wrong’ and that it wouldn’t take someone with a ‘normal’ brain to take 5 years to get to where I am today. If I’m having a bad day, this kind of thought can really knock me for 6. Other days I’m actually ok with it and forgiving of myself!

But one of the things that can support us all is incorporating affirmations into our daily routine. Why? Because it can be a really powerful tool to boost your confidence and help you achieve your goals.

In this blog post, I discuss how to use affirmations to boost your confidence as an ADHD entrepreneur.

  1. Identify Your Negative Self-Talk.

I’ve already shared with you one of the negative’s things I personally tell myself waaaay to often – but the first step in using affirmations to boost your confidence is to identify your negative self-talk. Negative self-talk is the voice inside your head that tells you that you are not good enough, smart enough, or capable enough to achieve your goals. When you identify your negative self-talk, you can start to replace it with positive affirmations.

  2. Create Positive Affirmations.

Positive affirmations are statements that reinforce positive beliefs about yourself. For example, “I am capable of running a successful business” or “I am confident in my ability to achieve my goals.” These affirmations should be personal, meaningful, and focused on your strengths and abilities. Create a list of positive affirmations that resonate with you and that you can use daily.

  3. Repeat Affirmations Daily

Once you have identified your negative self-talk and created positive affirmations, it’s time to start incorporating them into your daily routine. Repeat your affirmations out loud, write them down in a journal, or post them in places where you will see them throughout the day, such as on your computer or phone. Consistency is key, so try to repeat your affirmations daily, especially during times when you may feel less confident.

  4. Use Visualisation Techniques.

Visualisation is a powerful tool that can help you manifest your goals and boost your confidence. Take some time each day to visualise yourself achieving your goals and feeling confident and successful. Visualise yourself running a successful business, making important decisions with ease, and overcoming any obstacles that may come your way.

  5. Surround Yourself with Positive People.

The people you surround yourself with can have a significant impact on your confidence and self-esteem. Surround yourself with positive, supportive people who believe in you and your abilities. They can help you stay motivated, provide constructive feedback, and offer encouragement when you need it most.

In conclusion, using affirmations to boost your confidence as an ADHD entrepreneur can be a powerful tool to help you achieve your goals.

By identifying your negative self-talk, creating positive affirmations, repeating them daily, using visualisation techniques, and surrounding yourself with positive people, you can boost your confidence and achieve great success in your business venture.

Remember, confidence is key, and with dedication and persistence, you can achieve your dreams.
